Hi Charmaine
Just wanted to say thank you for a great blog! Also I wanted to ask, do you guide people around the Minami Oguni Area – as you mentiones ‘my guests from overseas’ in your profile.
The reaon I ask is that I moved to Kumamoto from Yakushima back in April, in Yakushima I helped run a guiding and bookings business ( basically helping foreign tourists arrange the accommodation and activities they wanted to do). It became really successful and I could see how much our guests and the Japanese local businesses valued the service.
Now, I’m thinking of trying to set up something similar in the Kumamoto area, I’m currently in the process of making a website. Obviously Kurokawa is on many tourists must see list of places and I think tours of Kurokawa and Minami oguni could be really popular. So if you are interested or know of any Japanese guides with good English I would really love to know.
Hope to hear from you!
Best wishes,
Helen
Hi Helen,
Would love to meet and/or talk about possibilities!!! Please check your FB page as I have sent you a friend request and maybe we can go from there. I have some English-speaking Japanese friends in Oguni who may be interested too,so perhaps we could get together and brainstorm! I have guided friends and family around the area ,but not other overseas visitors…yet….
